Use referrals

Referral links help you share LeedBooks with another business owner without adding another dashboard page.

What referrals are

Referrals are a simple way to share LeedBooks with another business owner.

If your account includes referral access, your referral information lives in settings. It should not clutter the main bookkeeping workspace.

Keep referrals out of the workflow

Referrals are useful, but they are not bookkeeping work. That is why they belong in settings instead of the main sidebar.

01
Find link

Open settings and look for the referrals area.

02
Share

Send the link to a business owner who needs cleaner books.

03
Track

Use the referrals area to see available referral details.

Go to settings and open the referrals area.

If referrals are enabled for your account, you should see your referral link or code there.

If you do not see it, your plan, account status, or workspace permissions may not include referral access yet.

Who to share it with

Share LeedBooks with business owners who feel the bookkeeping pain.

Good fits:

  • Owner-operated service businesses
  • Insurance agencies
  • Contractors
  • Local operators
  • Small teams with messy transaction review
  • Businesses that want bookkeeping approvals through chat or email

Avoid sending it to people who want a full accounting firm relationship instead of AI-assisted bookkeeping.

What to say

Keep the message simple.

You can say:

"I am using LeedBooks to help review transactions, learn rules, and keep reports cleaner. It is built like an AI bookkeeping employee, not a traditional dashboard."

Do not overpromise. The best referral is specific and honest.

Tracking

Referral tracking may show referral code details, link status, and related information depending on your account.

If something looks wrong, contact support instead of creating multiple accounts or links.

Support

Contact support if:

  • Your referral link is missing.
  • A referred customer used the wrong link.
  • You need help explaining LeedBooks.
  • Referral status looks incorrect.
  • You want referral terms clarified.
